Global access to HIV therapy tripled in past two years (2006)

28 march 2006 -- A report released today by WHO and UNAIDS shows that the number of people on HIV antiretroviral treatment in low- and middle-income countries has more than tripled over the last two years—to 1.3 million. The report also says that lessons learned in delivering HIV treatment have strengthened global efforts now underway to provide universal access by 2010.
